SAN JOSE, California, July 3 - Decicon Incorporated has filed 3 US patent applications in support of its Flexible Hybrid Power Platform IP.

Two of the patent applications cover novel approaches in DC/DC power conversion developed by Decicon for tomorrow's multi-output DC/DC power converters. The unique system partitioning between analog output stages and digitally implemented control functions opens way to a new breed of hybrid power converter ICs that are high efficient and that require smaller die area than conventional approaches in multi-output settings. The digital implementation of the control functions inherently brings the flexibility and programmability advantages to Decicon's hybrid power converters.

The third patent application covers configurable DC/DC power converters which enable the user to address the power needs of different applications with one single power converter IC, by simply reconfiguring it via digital programming.
