Decicon has been awarded a U.S. Patent for its "Hybrid DC-DC Switching Regulator Circuit" on 5/31/2011.

Decicon's novel DC/DC switching power conversion architecture is developed for tomorrow's multi-output power converters. The unique system partitioning between analog output stages and digitally implemented control functions opens way to a new breed of hybrid power converter ICs that are highly efficient, fast and that require smaller die area than conventional approaches in multi-output applications. Furthermore, Decicon's architecture enables current mode DC/DC switching converter ICs which scale with logic process feature sizes while maintaining high speed and low power consumption characteristics of their analog counterparts. The digital implementation of the control functions inherently brings flexibility and programmability advantages to Decicon's hybrid power converters.
